Intro to Part 4
The Early Modern Era was spanning over three centuries from 1450-1750. During this time, globalization was spreading wider through European excursions across the seas that soon led to finding and colonizing the Americas. The Columbian Exchange was a big deal of trade of plants, animals, diseases, and people throughout the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Also, Christianity became more wide-spread, spreading to the Americas, China, Japan, the Philippines, and south-central Africa. Next, from 1400-1800, the worlds population almost tripled starting at 374 million and ending at 968 million. Also, this period was actually less of a start to the modern era, but a continuation to older agrarian societies because most events were based off of past practices and a little bit of modernization.
